Pleasant to stay in a unique, historic building.
During my stay, the water had an unpleasant odor, especially when first turned on, which made me uneasy about its quality. The sound from the outdoor dining area was slightly distracting and could be heard with the window open, though it wasn't too intrusive with it closed. Additionally, my overall experience was overshadowed by the discomfort of the mattress, which my wife found particularly uninviting.

great amenities but noise from the bar
The air conditioning was CRANKED when I arrived, making for a refreshing escape from the heat outside. My room came with a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a DVD player with a mini library nearby to borrow films. The staff provided an unexpected level of care, making me feel valued during my stay. I agree with other guests that the friendly staff is a highlight of this place.
The noise from the bar across the street disrupted my sleep at times.

The spacious room provided a cozy environment, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring nearby hiking trails. The convenience of having hot and cold drinking water and a laundry room added a practical touch to the stay. However, noise from the bar nearby made it challenging to sleep at times, and the mattress could use some improvement for comfort. Staff members were incredibly friendly, significantly enhancing the overall experience.
